  • New Mexico Guardsman puts training, experience into action

    Capt. Adrian Mateos was having lunch Oct. 14, 2021, in Kearny, N.J., when he noticed a woman faint and fall to the ground because of a seizure. Mateos, who was in N.J. supporting Operations Allies Welcome as a member of the New Mexico Air National Guard’s 150th Medical Group, is a licensed emergency medical technician with extensive experience in medical emergency services. Having a child with epilepsy, he knew immediately what to do.

    The New Mexico Air National Guard’s 150th Maintenance Squadron earned distinction as the 2019 New Mexico State Outstanding Unit. Maj. Gen. Kenneth Nava, the Adjutant General of New Mexico, presented the award to the unit during a May 1, 2021, ceremony here.

  • Spotlight Airman: Airman 1st Class John Holler

    One of our newest members to the New Mexico Air National Guard is Airman 1st Class John Holler. He swore into the NMANG in May of 2019. Not only is Holler serving his country as an Airman but, also directly serves our community by being an Albuquerque Police Officer since October of 2017.
