COLONEL CHRISTOPHER N. GEORGE
Col. Christopher N. George is the Interim Commander, 150th Special Operations Wing, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. Previously he was the commander, Maintenance Group at 150th SOW. Responsibilities include directing all aircraft and equipment maintenance in support of an Active and Classic Association for the NMANG. The Active Association ensures safe and effective HC-130J Combat King Aircraft are mission ready in support of ACC student aircrew training. The Classic Association is responsible for all off equipment maintenance and repair of components for a variety of aircraft including HC/MC-130J, HH-60G/W, UH-1 and CV-22 Aircraft.
Col. George served in the New Mexico Air National Guard as an enlisted Crew Chief on the F-16 C/D models for more than 15 years before earning a commission in 2008 from the Academy of Military Science at McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tenn. After commissioning he served as a Security Forces Officer for ten years. He has deployed in support of several operations including INHERENT RESOLVE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM and NOBLE EAGLE.
Col. George has served in a variety of in the NMANG. He has commanded a Security Forces Flight, Squadron, Maintenance Squadron, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, served on the NMANG A-staff as the A/J4 and had a successful career as a law enforcement professional for 24 years.
