Meet your recruiters

keshia hughley

I grew up a military brat, and although I didn't grow up in one place, N.M. has become my home. My Dad was Active Duty Air Force and retired after 24 years of serving. I've lived everywhere from North Carolina, to Germany, Japan and England. My Mom is originally from England so naturally she didn't want to leave and we stayed there the longest. I graduated from Alamogordo High School and have lived in New Mexico for almost 25 years. I joined the Air National Guard one month after I graduated, and have been a part of this unit for 19 years. Besides being at work, I spend the majority of my time at home with my family. I have 2 girls who I hope will follow in both mine and their Dad's footsteps one day by joining and serving their country. I'm a huge foodie, I love shopping, working out at the gym (weights, not cardio) and college basketball (GO TAR HEELS!). I'm very thankful to be one of you recruiters for the state of NM and the greatest Air National Guard unit there is!

I joined the New Mexico Air National Guard in 2017, and it was the best decision I have ever made. I am the first member in my family to join the military.  I was born and raised in Northwest New Mexico, and moved to Albuquerque shortly after I enlisted. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico in 2021, and plan to obtain my Master's degree in the near future.  I am a hot yoga instructor in my free-time, and love to work out, especially with my family. I also take interest in sewing, gardening, landscaping, woodworking, painting, etc.
